Corrections Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Reviewner tests tools hands-on and researches widely, with genuine care — but we can still get things wrong, and when we do, fixing it takes priority. This page explains how we handle corrections, what you can expect, and how to report an error. It works alongside our Methodology and Editorial Policy & Independence pages.

1. Our Commitment

When we get something wrong, we correct it in the open rather than quietly editing it away. Confirmed errors are corrected at the top of the affected page within 24 hours of confirmation, with the original wording preserved and the change explained. We would rather be openly accountable for a mistake than hide it.

2. What We Treat as a Correction

We distinguish between updates and corrections:

  • Corrections address something that was inaccurate or wrong at the time we published it — for example a misstated fact, price, feature, or test result. These are handled under this policy, with a visible note.
  • Updates reflect a tool changing after we published — new features, revised pricing, or a re-test in a later review cycle. Because AI tools change quickly, scores and verdicts can move over time; significant score changes are recorded in our change log, and a major move triggers a follow-up post.

3. How a Correction Works

  • Once we confirm an error, we correct the affected page within 24 hours of confirmation.
  • The correction appears at the top of the affected page, so readers see it clearly rather than having to hunt for it.
  • We preserve the original wording and explain what changed and why, so the record is transparent.
  • Where a correction changes a Reviewner Score, the score change is also recorded in our change log with its date, magnitude, and reason.

4. How to Report an Error

If you believe we have made a factual error — whether you are a reader or the maker of a tool we reviewed — please tell us at hello@reviewner.com or via our contact page. It helps if you point us to the specific page and statement and, where possible, share what you believe is correct and any supporting evidence. We assess every report against our testing and the available evidence, and we correct anything we got wrong.

5. Right of Reply

Makers of tools we review are welcome to raise factual concerns through the same route. We review such points fairly and correct genuine errors — but engaging with us does not earn a better review or change a score for any reason other than accuracy. We do not send reviews to companies before publication; corrections happen after publication, in public.

6. Questions

Questions about how we handle corrections? Contact us at hello@reviewner.com. For how we test and score, see our Methodology page; for our wider editorial standards, see our Editorial Policy & Independence page.
